I like the sound of that!

Don't ask me why I thought of this today while walking the dog...
Way back in November, when I was in the infancy of my Borderhood ( I'm guessing I wasn't as free-wheeling with my posts back then)---I went up to my undergrad college Homecoming for the first time in eons. In addition to the football game, I wanted to see the 40th anniversary concert of the most popular mens' acapella group on campus, the Hangovers. They have put out their own CDs over the years, with popular songs that obviously change with the times. Anyway, imagine my surprise when they broke into No More Walks in the Woods, a concert premiere for them! To get an idea of their versatility, they followed it with Disturbia (Rihanna's song)...and both worked. Go figure!

...the calling of the tide's eternal tune, the phases of the moon, the chambers of the heart, the egg and dart...
On the radio today, Tim Smit - pronounced Schmit by the DJ - was interviewed. He's the creator of the Eden Project. Couldn't help but smile!

On the way to my sister's yesterday, there was a little residential country road named Eagles. Not Eagle Road or Eagle Lane... just "EAGLES".
Oh, and numerous mentions of Henley on the radio (as it's the Henley regatta this weekend).

As I was driving by the mall today I saw a large sign advertising a special on "Eagles Pac". I was getting excited until I realized that it was dog food that they were promoting .
Eagles dog food??
"Life in a Northern Town" (recently covered by Sugarland on the country charts) has a variant of the chorus with the mandate to "Take it easy on yourself..."
So, yeah. Stupid little smile every time; I can't help it.
I don't remember if I have ever mentioned this before but my highschool mascot was the Eagles. I'm back in my hometown right now and was driving by my old highschool and couldn't help but take a pic of this little reminder.
Even this second pic reminded me of the guys. During my senior year, I was in the art club and we painted this on the side of the art building.
