Well..................I thought of the Eagles when the radio played Glenn's "Smuggler's Blues" today
Here's one with a slightly different slant. I saw a TV advert the other day. It showed people in a diner, customers and staff. They were all looking for sugar, and instead of sugar were being given a sweetener called 'Splenda', and were saying how like Sugar it actually was. Now why is this relevant......well the name of the diner was.......wait for it......."Cindy's Diner".
Imagine Cindy without Sugar.......doesn't add up

GA, that reminds me of a time at work when someone said "I've got sugar all over my hands" and I thought "I'd like to get my hands,,,,"
Maleah, I wish ANY radio station over here would play Smugglers Blues!
SH, Henley's aviation is cool!
I saw a beautiful classic old Porsche last night, and its number was GFO... Reminded me of another Porsche...

How can love survive in such a graceless age?
Traveling over the weekend I saw a sign for a town in Missouri called "Henly". I know the spelling is wrong, but close enough to make me smile! No population so it must be very small!
Then in Ft.Worth, Texas we went under an overpass named "Eagle Parkway".
We also listened to a classic rock radio station called "The Eagle".
Each one brought a smile to my face. Hubby would look at me and
"They will never forget you 'till somebody new comes along"
1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
I know where the Eagle Parkway is in Fort Worth, Texas.Originally Posted by Brooke
There used to be a station here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area known as "The Eagle" but they weren't a classic rock station. I forget what they played. They're not on the air anymore.

Brooke - That is so funny. I went away this weekend as well. On my way, I pass through this small town called "Glenns''. Everytime I pass through it, I want to stay for the night! My SO actually gives me a hard time because he knows exactly what I'm thinking a we drive through.Originally Posted by Brooke

It's so funny to run into something Eagles or Glenn(n) related all the time in the US - I love that
Despite the lousy weather I went to see a dear friend in Varese, a little town in the north of Italy close to the Swiss border. On Sunday we drove up to Lugano to have dinner at a fancy lakeside restaurant. They had some background music playing, low volume, but suddenly I heard some familiar chords … Hotel California. I absolutely didn’t expect to hear it in that corner of the world
So my friend saw the surprise on my face and he asked with a grin whether I was still that Eagles and Glenn crazy I guess I blushed
We went together to two concerts last year, so he knows
But at the end of the day ….
We'll have stars to wish on every single night
We'll build a fire and make love by candlelight
Guess what folks! A baby Eagle has been born in Ireland!! But don't get too excited..(the 'boys' didn't do a third encore last summer)..its a bird - A Golden Eagle. And it was born in GLENveigh National Park. Its to be called Eddie or Edwina ( I could think of better names for Eagles myself). Apparently according to the article if it survives the average lifespan for Golden eagles is about 30 years......Anyone know the average lifespan for Platinum Eagles?
