You're wasting no time if you're already into the LROOE album! Good on ya
I hadn't noticed if Joe changed the lyrics on RMW, but this gives me an excuse to watch the concert disc again.

Joe has often changed those lyrics on Rocky Mountain Way to whomever our current president is, although I'm trying to remember when was the last time I heard him do it. Since he is a Democrat, it was probably when Bush was in office, but I'm not sure about that.
"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."
Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
Thanks for the info Dreamer!
My uncle and I got to watch the first part last night. He was taken aback by how in depth it was, and he loved hearing about the other bands forming or playing at the same time as the Eagles. He said "Not only is it the history of the Eagles, but in some ways it's the history of rock music at that time". I agree with him.
We'll try to watch the rest either tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

Yep, Joe changed the lyrics that night to "D.C. way" and "Carter's at bat."
That concert - though priceless and wonderful - is so short. How I wish we could have seen their performance of LITFL.
Surely make ya lose yo' mind!
Nice to know that I heard the lyrics right! I wholeheartedly agree with you that the concert was too short! I love it (very nice bonus), but I'm a bit miffed that LITFL, my 2nd favorite Eagles song, isn't on there. I don't think that my namesake was either!
I plan to watch it a 3rd time this afternoon with no intereuptions ( ) and I'll jot down some notes to help write a review. (Hey Glenn, I'm a youngster who still uses pen and paper! )

It's good to see it multiple times, as you pick up stuff that you missed on previous rounds. This time, I was excited to hear the "phantom steel guitar" on BOML that was discussed previously on this forum. Joe and Glenn are playing acoustic guitars so it couldn't have been them. Felder has lead guitar duties. Maybe a talented roadie was tucked away somewhere.

You can't change the world but you can change yourself.
I'll also watch the concert again just because I want to. I'll keep in ear open for that phantom guitar!

Felder plays steel pedal guitar on BOML at the DC concert (as he does for the Houston bootleg), the camera only cuts to him a few times mind, so it's easy to miss; Henley actually sings into what is Felder's mic for the song. Bernie played it on the album, I believe he learnt the instrument only a short while beforehand.
