I'm glad that you uploaded that as well Nancy!!! MY dad and I crack up on that doc when the kids are saying man look at your hair back then. LOL. Such an amazing song and video!!!! I love hearing both versions.

You came along and changed my life Glenn!!

The music sounded even better, and of course the guys sounded better as they talked. When Felder and Glenn are going back and forth during the Long Beach concert, you don't need the subtitles to easily hear what they're saying.

I can't wait to hear the 1977 concert with them on, and when my stuff gets here, LZ's Celebration Day will get a turn with the headphones.

Oh my gosh--- I haven't thought about doing this yet. Why not? I really, really need to listen to more than just my iTunes through my headphones. Duh!!

I missed where Slash promoted the doc. I love that man!! And thanks for the Slash story, Mary. I would have just died had I seen him walk in like that. OMG!!!

Regarding the How Long video on YouTube---- The night we were all watching the doc on Showtime for the first time, when that part came on I let out a squeal and my hubby made the comment of how cool is that? because he had heard the story. I immediately sent a text to Nancy because I was so freaking excited, even tho they didn't mention her, we all here knew that story and knew what they referring to. I still get a bit of a thrill every time I hear that part.

I agree it was totally awesome that Glenn's kids saw the How Long video that Soda put on YouTube, and it inspired Glenn to record the song for LROOE. Even if Glenn isn't aware it was her video, it's still kinda like being a little part of Eagles history.

While Glenn will never know, I did tell JD Souther and gave him a copy of the source video back in 2009. He thanked me with a big grin, lol.
Way too cool Soda! I love it!

They showed the doc in its entirety on BBC 4 on Friday night! Laura and I had a VERY late bedtime!!

    Soda-

What a cool story! I had no that How Long was an old song that JD had written, until I saw the doc. I did know that it was a favorite of mine on The LROOE album.

And now I know who to thank for it being recorded!

Bill Simmons. I didn't know when I started reading that it was that long, but once I started I couldn't stop.

ITA, PM. I loved it. This guy didn't get everything exactly correct, but he didn't do bad. I love his sense of humor and literally bursted out laughing at few times while reading this - very entertaining!

Bill Simmons and I are basically the same person haha

This article could have been written by me.

and it includes this nifty illustration

I just want to add...I'm not actually done reading it...it's kinda long and starts off strong!

I'm still only on number 12.... still loving it...not everything is 100% on par, but it's very entertaining and I dig it!

My boyfriend actually brought it to my attention because he loves Bill Simmons.
