So goodbye rodeo, it's a long funny way for a man to go...
'Can we finish this game quickly so I can get to Sheryl's place for her birthday'?!
Thanks, for all of the good wishes and great photos, guys!
My day was quiet, spent just with Steve and the boys. (My girlfriends took me out Thursday night-but we must be getting old since it that was a pretty uneventful evening, as well) My gift to myself yesterday was a day off of work!
At one point yesterday, a florist van pulled into my yard and I thought "oooh, wonderful, flowers!" The gentleman came to the door and asked how to find Suzy, my next door neighbor. LOL!!
Tom redeemed my men a few hours later by walking in with a bouquet of flowers for Mom as well as some gift cards and the book "Ishmael" that he's been pestering me to read for some time now. Along with all that, by the time he left, he managed to give his old mom 4 hugs, which for me, was the best part! I'm so glad my grown young man doesn't think it's not cool to give his mother a hug now and then.
Steve had a quick business trip to Cleveland this past week, so he surprised me with a t-shirt from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that has the Eagles, of course, listed in al the inductees. He also got me the book "To the Limit" thinking that he had found something for me that I didn't already have. (Silly man!) It has been "updated by the author" in 2005 -so techincally, it is different than the first copy I have. He also got me an IHome so I can play my IPod like a boombox.
Peter, my poor college student, aplogized for missing my birthday the day before (he had the days screwed up), and then proceded to give me an IOU. Oh wait, he did bring all of his dirty laundry and a huge appetite home-so I guess that's something!
Again, thanks for adding to my day!
