I just found this is one of the Dubai papers from this morning ...

You're right, Zelda. Given the level of our devotion, we are deserving!

OMG can you imagine that happening if you had planned to go? Now I'm going to have bad dreams about that happening in Atlanta...

When you go to Google Earth and pull up an aerial view of the stadium, it doesn't even show as complete (takes a while for the satellite images to update and the last one was sometime in 2011). However, the location is quite a bit inland from Dubai proper and there is nothing but flat, open desert surrounding the site....nothing to stop or slow down the winds and probably kicks up a lot of sand! But it seems the show did go on.

Another article I don't think I've seen here. LOVE the title reference!

An interesting note about a statement near the end of the article...they apparently haven't heard about 'the fifth Eagle'.

As for the twin-lead climax of the song, one can only wait and watch who Joe Walsh pairs up with

If they were going to do that it would have happened by now.

I don't think there will be any other changes in the band's "official" lineup at this point in their career. In a way, that's kind of fitting, IMO - they started with four members and, chances are, they'll end with four.

I suspect Steuart has been well-compensated thru the years for his 'non-official' spot in the band...if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I was playing it today and now I have to admit, I'm getting tired of BAU. It's definitely played much more than any other song. Perhaps whoever put together this playlist is trying to make a subtle political statement.

Geek that I am, I was thinking that it has something to do with the random number generator software used to create a random playlist. Since at least yesterday it was played every hour. Whatever the first 'key' is, this is the only song that meets the criteria. But you might be right, since I tend to think in terms of 1's and 0's.
