Thanks, Soda - I'm hearing you. Back in 2007, though, I had not yet seen them - at least I got to see them in London, albeit nearly 4 years ago now.

In fact, over the last few days I've seriously considered flying to Johannesburg for their concert on 8 April, but the biggest problem is that I don't have anyone to go with me, and to be honest, travelling around Johannesburg on my own does not appeal to me. I worry about my safety.

The timing is just so unfortunate... but I'm really trying to focus on the thought that perhaps there is something better in the pipeline for me, involving the Eagles. Who knows? It might be wishful thinking, but one never knows. Going to the Jo'burg concert just does not feel right to me, and I know that if I force it, it won't do me any good, as much as I'd love to be there. Does that make any sense?

Anyway, I hope that the crowds come out in force to support the boys, so that they will consider visiting our shores again.

Well I was sooo excited when I heard they were to be in South Africa, as I know a few people there.
I had my tickets and Accomadation organised, Sun City is where they will play the longest, and the best seating as for being close.
Then someone reminded me I have something else on, and I cannot go at that time,so I am not very happy about that!! Shattered!!
I am going to California in August,my daughter is studying there for 4 mths, and I hope that I will be able to see them there somehwere.
Of course I am a fan of Timothy B Schmit, and I could watch the Band play every night and never get sick of seeing them!!!!!!!
    Who could??

Welcome to The Border, L&T! How nice it is to welcome new members.

I feel for you - how disappointing. We're in the same boat, then.

Nevermind, I'm sure that you will get another opportunity to see them.

Welcome to the Border L&T. I too feel sorry you won't make it to Sun City. I hope you will get another opportunity to see them soon, and I totally agree with your sentiments. I too could watch them every night and nit get sick of seeing them.

    Welcome from me too, Lyn&Tim.

We'd love to hear more about how you became an Eagles fan and if you've seen them in concert yet...

Two weeks until the first show in South Africa! I really hope there's good reviews to be found afterwards. It'll be interesting to hear what, if anything, they say about a new tour in the fall/next year.

An article from CapeTownMagazine about the upcoming shows. It clearly states it's a two hour show with no warm-up act. Of course, it also says it's the first of an epic tour in 2012, so...

Since when has Life In The Fastlane been a solo hit?

Since when is "Fast Lane" one word?

Anyway, another error in a promo article. Typical.

And did you see this, under the videos? "Known interchangeably to many as ‘my dad’s, ex–girlfriend’s boss’s, baby sister’s favourite band..."

Is that supposed to be some kind of a dig? And if so, why is it in a promotional piece? LAME!

To be fair the article spells Life In The Fast Lane correctly.
