It took forever but I had the following:

    How Long
    Twenty-One

and then a couple of songs later I heard What Do I Do With My Heart (sigh). This was the first time any of the new songs had come up on shuffle play.

Do you mind if I put a radio event here? I hope not.

Anyway, this morning my radio snooze alarm went off to Please Come Home For Christmas! The first alarm was some other classic rock song and I don't even remember what. I always hit the snooze button once. Then when it sounded it was PCHFC! I think that is amazing that I would get that song on my radio alarm! I mean how many classic rock songs can they play at any time during the day and I get that one on my alarm! Unbelievable! It brought a big smile to my face and I listened to the whole song before I turned it off! It just made me feel great at 6:10 a.m. A great way to start the day!

This topic is as much about 'radio moments' as it is about 'iPod moments'.

I had another good one. I heard Glenn's The Heat Is On from Tokyo. This was followed by one of THE great songs - the Temptations' Papa Was A Rolling Stone - and then the Eagles doing The Heat Is On in London in 1995! Very cool.

This morning my alarm clock woke me up with Tim singing Love Will Keep Us Alive! I don't think I've ever heard that song on the radio!

I'm sure you don't want to know this but anyway:

The last Eagles-related song I heard on the iPod in 2007 was Joe's Dear John. The first in 2008 was Longbranch Pennywhistle's Kite Woman (well you have to take what you can get).

When I hear the first proper Eagles/Glenn/Don/Joe songs I'll note them but I may also mention the first songs I heard this year by other favourite artists.

Van Morrison - Georgia On My Mind
Bob Dylan - Meet Me In The Morning
Byrds - She Has A Way

    Stay tuned!

I'm getting on average 5 Eagles/Glenn /Don songs on a day on the radio. One per show. Yesterday we got HL, PEF ,TITTL and TIE over the course of the day (Between about 10am and 6pm). Not bad! Must put on the ipod again!

    All iPod for me.

First Eagles song: Carol (yes, a bootleg, so I will cheat and also list the first 'real' song which hasn't happened yet).

    Beatles - Get Back
Rolling Stones - Rip This Joint
Dire Straits - It Never Rains
Paul McCartney - Live & Let Die
Bee Gees - He's A Liar (Don Felder plays on this)
    Warren Zevon - Reconsider Me
Billy Joel - This Is The Time
Bob Seger - Shame On The Moon (SIGH)
Paul Simon - Loves Me Like A Rock
