My father died of cancer as a result of smoking, although he smoked a pipe. That's why I don't like the 'cigarette' photos. I hope Glenn doesn't smoke these days. To each their own. I love the one we call 'Smokin' Hot' and I like the one with the hat but that's it; I can't look at the others.
Lung cancer is no joke. My grandfather died from it as well. I'm glad you're able to at least look at a couple of these photos.
Oh, I see we're on a new page. These are the two photos FP is speaking of that she likes. As I said above, I agree with her!
I'm sure if I had had anyone close die of lung cancer or whatever related to cancer I would be quite horrified of these pictures too. So far, that hasn't happened to me. My dad also smoked for many years, but quit sometime in the late 80's. One of my grandfather's smoked all his life, Camel's non-filters, no less, died in his sleep at 74, and my husband's Dad and Grandfather also smoked all their lives. None of them died of cigarette related cancer and lived to be 78 and 85 respectively. Both of my brothers smoked for many years, but have quit and are healthy so far. Two of my husband's brothers were smokers and one still is. And as many times as I took my kids to the doctor during their childhood, and they saw the posters of the old people with cigarettes in the offices, and they went home and begged their Daddy to not smoke, today they are smokers. Go figure! You just never know. Somehow, it never stuck with me and I'm glad.
With all that, I still find Glenn sexy with the cigs. I'm sure there's more to it than the cigs, but there you are.
I especially love this one:
"They will never forget you 'till somebody new comes along"
1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
Hopefully Glenn will not be affected by any lung-related disease, it just seems crazy to me that he'd risk damaging his "instrument" in any way.
You can hear it in his voice in the interview section at the end of Farewell I. Joe is talking about how he and Irving lived in his car and Glenn laughs and you can hear the wheeze.
I smoked for a long time and know first-hand how hard it is to quit, but it disturbs me to think how he is hurting his voice and risking his health.
But surely this is speculation. We don't know for sure that he still smokes.
I need to post some photos because the deafening silence about the album while the band & Joe have dates lined up is starting to get me down. I can't do it now though.
I should take requests. I don't know which photos I have that other people like.
Sometimes it helps to post something I took myself. I think you can see why I like this one.
This one hasn't had much attention.
Thank you, FP! I won't be picky, I just like to see photos!

Just while I am here I did get a nice 'rear view' shot so here it is.
It has actually been a while since I looked at some of these closely.
