I've been getting into his music as of late, wonder if anyone else on here is a fan.

I'm not a super-huge fan but I do think he was talented. I have his Unchained album and I enjoyed the bio-pic Walk the Line.

Check out this video of him playing that song when he was just 23!

I have The Essential Johnny Cash, which is a double CD. It's superb. My favourites are as follows:

    1. I Walk The Line
    2. Ring Of Fire
    3. Man In Black
    4. Folsom Prison Blues
    5. A Boy Named Sue
    6. The Highwayman
    7. Jackson
    8. Ghost Riders In The Sky
    9. It Ain't Me Babe (great Bob Dylan cover)
    10. The Wanderer (this features U2; I can't stand them but this is a great track).

Hurt, the cover of the Nine Inch Nails song, is incredible.

I like Johnny a lot, but don't have anything by him. I really enjoyed the movie, I Walk The Line.

I may have to find the the cd Fp mentioned. Sounds good.

Trivia about that Johnny / Linda video - apparently June Cash wasn't too happy that Linda planned on "going commando" for that performance and sent someone to "go to Woolworth's and buy Linda some panties." When Linda protested, June said something along the lines of "You're not going out there and singing with my husband unless you have panties on!"

Apparently Linda liked going commando a lot I must say I don't blame June, I think going commando is a bit tacky IMO.
