TG, Fox Mulder aside, do you have any info about Glenn's guitars and such? I haven't had time to do this section because I've been setting up the other sites, but I'm still interested.

Hmm, I'm not sure if Kath is going to do something similar for TBSO, but if so, I'm sure she'd be glad to get your info.

    Not me!

tg - I'm shocked that you don't think we are capable of having a serious discussion about Glenn's equipment here. I'm sitting here studying a classic Gibson SG as we speak. :P

These are a few shots in homage to Old Black, which SG has kindly identified as a Gibson Les Paul Junior. It must be at least 30 years old.

Apologies to anyone still on dial-up. Does anyone have any earlier photos?

Can a guitar really look that good after being taken around the world for 30 years? I always wondered if he replaced it with a look-alike occasionally. But perhaps if you treat it with enough loving care and have enough money to fix every nick, it could indeed last that log.

Perhaps that's why he stopped playing it in 2006. Maybe it finally gave up the ghost.

Glenn once mentioned in an interview (some time in the 80s I think) that he was trying to buy some Gibson Les Paul Junior - just to have some backup guitar for Old Black. And he said they were available for a reasonable price - whatever that means
Anyway, I once checked them out and they are really not that expensive. But you have to get lucky to get a black one
