Love this song and thought it was done very well in the movie Elf.

When I was a little girl my Mom had a Glen Campbell Christmas album and this was my favorite song on it. So pretty!

My family had this song on an 8-track back in the late 70s. I remember loving it as a child but our 8-track player gave up the ghost in 1987 and by then, the album was out of print. Twenty years later, I found the song on a CD and snapped it up right away. Now, in 2010, it can be found on YouTube!

Isn't it funny how Christmas songs you heard in your home while growing up made such a lasting impression? I think it's wonderful!

Nancy, you gave me the idea to look on Youtube for a song from an album I remember listening to all the time as a little girl. I found the whole album! Mom probably bought it for a dollar or less back then, but it holds such fond memories for me! Here's the song I went looking for...

Corny? Maybe. But the message of keeping a tradition is priceless.

Yes it is. My Mom had a Dean Martin Christmas album when I was a kid and I always loved the songs on it. That's why I posted Marshmellow World a couple days ago. Thanks to the internet and Amazon I found the cd a couple years ago.

When my kids were little I bought a John Denver Christmas album and they love to hear it to this day, so traditions go on.

Here's their favorite from that album, Please Daddy ( Don't Get Drunk This Christmas). They would sing along and roll with laughter. Memories! This is a live version.

One of my favourite bits of 'Christmas' related stuff ever.

And the nativity sequence from the same episode:
