"People don't run out of dreams: People just run out of time ..."
Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
One Of These Nights is my Eagles song right now. Listened to it a bunch in the last couple days. I love the vocals and Felder's guitar solo.
Just a great song.....very smoooooooth if ya know what I mean!
TITTL is a huge favorite in my family. We even have a tradition of singing it together every New Year-even if we aren't all together we it by phone! But that said, WITW holds a tight grip on my heart. So much has been written here that I don't need to explain myself I'm sure!
I possess the silver bullets to slay the demons from my past. How do I know? Because I survived them-and I am already stronger than I believe.
I have two- the first is Best Of My Love, specifically the Live Millenium Version off of the Selected Works album. It's just one of those songs I can listen to over and over again. The second is Learn To Be Still, but it's always been a favorite of mine. I really like the HFO version. Especially before it starts, when Glenn says that they made it up an hour ago.

Having just re-read this, where I said a couple of times I didn't have a song of the moment because I was preoccupied with 'other' songs; that's still the case. I played most of the Eagles songs at the time of Don's birthday & nothing really stood out apart from I Dreamed There Was No War, perhaps. I have just made a signature for that (I don't know why I didn't do it before). And not even any solo songs are particular favourites at the moment. I agree with Tori about Learn To Be Still though - I love it & always have done.
I have been playing The Girl From Yesterday alot this week. I love Glenn's voice on this (not that I don't love his voice on every song he sings, LOL)!
Bitter Creek came up on the shuffle today and it was just the right song to hear at that moment. It was very soothing to sing along with the "oohs".
Btw, Ann, love your avatar. That's always been one of my favorite Glenn pics.
Yes, VERY nice photo!
My Eagles song of the moment is Tequila Sunrise. The '70s live version with the added verse at the end... Love it. Glenn's voice is so smooth and it just takes me somewhere else.
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
