Now both band and crowd were committed to a momentous night. "Peaceful Easy Feeling," "I Can't Tell You Why," "Witchy Woman," "Lyin' Eyes"; solo material from Henley ("Boys of Summer") and Walsh ("In the City") — each song offered a different component by a different member of the band: Schmit, the blue-eyed soul crooner; Frey, the countrified storyteller; Henley, the pop songsmith; Walsh, the rocker.

I liked this part!

I don't consider Frey to be a 'countrified storyteller' or Henley a 'pop songsmith'. Both are far too simplistic. Henley's material is far more aligned with rock and not all Frey's songs are either 'countrified' or 'tell stories'.

I think they were referring more to the style of music (white or blue eyed soul) rather than his actual eye colour. I'm sure his eyes are brown, although I have studied them a little less than Willie has...
