Art Linkletter dies at age 97

Thanks to pueblo47 for the headsup about this. Art Linkletter died at his Bel Air home on Wednesday, 5/26. He was 97 years old. I remember loving his TV show as a young child. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

After one boy revealed that his father was a policeman who arrested lots of burglars, Mr. Linkletter asked if his mother ever worried about the risks. “Naw, she thinks it’s great,” he answered. “He brings home rings and bracelets and jewelry almost every week."

I loved House Party and KSTDT, although I hadn't thought about them in years. Sad that it had to be Art Linkletter's death to remind me of those classic shows. He was funny but always came accross as a true gentleman. What a long life he lived!
