Sorry, but I respectfully disagree. 1988 and I think he looks fine. Mmmm, mmmm!

Agree to disagree.
He didn't look horrible in that video but it's obvious that he was starting the decline around that time IMO.
And the Dr. John video as I said was in 1990, and looked his worst and that carried on until rehab.
While I agree with you that he did NOT look his best in the Dr. John video. He still looked like Joe Walsh there. It got far worse then that. Also, let's not forget that Joe turned 40 in '86 & it's been my personal experience that we no longer look our best past the age of 45 or so.

I should also state as a late disclaimer that I have no opinion in any form of his looks as a means of attractiveness (I don't bat for that team). I'm simply referring to health and sobriety. Just getting that out there....

Actually MV. Joe turned 40 in 1987.
Yes! Got his current age & his year mixed up. Thanks shun.

I'd seen that mall video before a few years ago. I have never watched it again. I too consider that period his "bottom." Thank God he pulled out of it.
That Kirshner video is fantastic! I watched it last night and now I finally know what role Don Kirshner played, lol.
Well - first of all, thanks for posting the Kirshner video, MV. From what I've seen, it is fantastic - haven't had a chance to watch the whole thing, but I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it.
And from what I've seen, alcoholism and drug addiction is usually a slow, gradual decline, but I have to agree that from what I've seen, Joe really started a more rapid downhill spiral in the early 90's. I also think the 'mall' video was his rock bottom of everything I've seen. I've said it before, but, cosmetic help or not, he appears to be healthier, happier, and in a better place than at anytime during his entire adult life. You go, Joe!!!
