    Default Eric Clapton

I see Eric Clapton is coming to Kansas City in March with special guest Roger Daltry. That seems an odd pick as a special guest I just don't see those two together, somehow.

A bit odd...but the connection between "Who" and Clapton goes WAY BACK. I would have been less surprised from a vocal mix, hearing that Plantt and Clapton were going to do it. At least the two of them are heavy Blues.

Seemed like an honest and open interview. Clapton has mellowed a LOT over the past couple of decades. I'd recommend getting a copy of the Stone and reading it. A lot of mutual admiration, and justly so. They both are exceptional guitarists...of the two, as much as I really Love Clapton, Beck has it when it comes to expression. The things he does with that right hand of his is nothing short of freakish! But, I'd rather "listen" to Clapton. He expresses things in a totally different way yet a way that is still pretty dang amazing!

I do hope there is a lot of material produced with this Duo! I've caught a little at Crossroads in '04, Dallas. Amazing.

I notice Eric's grown his hair again... last time I saw him it was short.

This is as good a place as any to mention I once saw Jeff Beck's Ferrari in Park Lane in London. We knew it was his because the number plate (er - licence plate) was JBECK.

As per that interview, Beck is a big Car-Guy....like Billy Gibbons of ZZ-Top. I'd love to go through "his barn". Odd that I can't recall that Beck has ever put up a car on Barrett-Jackson's Auto Auction. Maybe he has and I just didn't see it.
