I will remember the date the Eagles were inducted, because it's my birthday! =)

I remember hearing they were going to be inducted, but I wasn't hardcore at the time. I remember saying to myself, oh cool, maybe I should watch what is televised... but I never did. Thanks to this site I was able to watch it in hindsight!

1969 Elvis Presley begins recording his "Memphis Sessions" (including "Suspicious Minds").

1973 Backed by an all-star band, Eric Clapton performs a solo concert at London's Rainbow Theatre. It is promoted as a comeback concert, returning Clapton to the public eye after a reclusive period of heroin addiction. Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert is released in abbreviated form on LP (6 tracks) in 1973 and in expanded form on CD (14 tracks) in 1995.

1973 Aerosmith's self-titled debut is released. It contains the band staples "Dream On" and "Mama Kin."

1973 Cat Stevens hits #16 with "Sitting".

1973 Jethro Tull hits #11 in the US with "Living in the Past."

1983 Neil Young kicks off his association with a new label, Geffen Records, with 'Trans,' an album of heavily synthesized, computer-generated songs interspersed with breezy love songs. It reaches #17, his best showing until 'Harvest Moon' peaks at #16 in 1992.
