A cute story from the Chicago concert I haven't told yet...
Soda and I wore comfortable shoes throughout the day and went to the car and changed into our cute rockin' boots before the show. Now remember, "before the show" for us was 5 hours before the show, because we wanted to be near the front of the line so we could be close to the stage. Mission accomplished, but by the time Timothy started singing Downtime we were in a little pain. We hadn't heard the whole song before, and when he sang "and these shoes are killing me" we looked right at each other as if "Don't we know it!"
ETA: Willie was a real trooper and wore her boots the whole day with no problem!

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
It's like he was speaking your mind Cathy
Aw! I love it. Wish I could've been there with you guys. I took a gorgeous pair of wedges to Oklahoma, but chickened out when it came to wearing them to the shows because I thought we might be wandering around the casinos beforehand... Boy, was I right! I settled on my cowboy(girl) boots, and they were perfect. Still cute, but comfy. I couldn't risk tottering over on the grass at Downstream and spilling my beer!
Ahhh, memories.
Back to Downtime... I've been playing it so much today. It was blasting into my ears on the bus to work at 6.45 this morning! It just makes me smile.
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
No matter what, if beer is spilled always blame the shoes!
Lou, it's so interesting to hear your love for Downtime. I wondered which one you'd like the best. I love it too. Can you pick out Kid Rock's vocal or Dwights? I can hear Dwight's but not Kid Rock's. I love the little bit of drums before the chorus too.

PM, when I first heard Downtime, all I could hear was Kid Rock. Now, I tend to hear more of Dwight. Isn't that strange? I wonder how it is that the ear can hear different things at different times.
Downtime is one of my favorites too. I love that chorus!
I had no problem with the high heel boots---till I took them off about 2 am--then I thought my feet were going to fall off.
On the subject of Downtime. Last night we were talking about what was going on this weekend. Saturday Larry has to work and I have to take my Mom out for the Thanksgiving shopping and my own shopping for Dillon coming home etc. Larry asked what was going on on Sunday. I told him nothing, it would be time for a little Downtime. Then I chuckled when I realized what I had said. He asked me what was funny told him nothing he'd get. He just shook his head at me. Knowing Larry, he knows what it had something to do with.
He sings it high, he plays it low
Just got this in Google Alerts. Not quite sure what the hell he's talking about or whether he likes it or not and haven't got the time right now to try to decipher it either.

Geez, I got lost in all the big words and grand phrases, lol. Guess it's a good review of Expando but I'm not sure. This guy is kind of wordy and dances around getting to the point....if there is a point to this rambling. Just my opinion.....
