When Lou was here in the States earlier this year she introduced me to a singer that I had never heard of before, Paolo Nutini. I ended up really enjoying his music and even downloaded several of his songs from Itunes. I'm not sure how popular he is here in the U.S. but I don't recall hearing his songs on the radio. I was really surprised (and delighted) when I heard his song Last Request being played at work. I was immediately reminded of Lou since she's the one that introduced me to his songs. Already I've heard Last Request played at work twice this week.

I got "Last Request" off of iTunes when it first came out but didn't buy the full album. I'll have to check it out!

Oh, you must! That song is from his first album, These Streets, but his second album, Sunny Side Up, is amazing, too. I can't recommend them both highly enough. Particular favourite tracks of mine are Million Faces, Loving You, Rewind, No Other Way, Pencil Full Of Lead and Tricks Of The Trade. New Shoes is a great, feelgood, 'getting ready' song, too!

OMG - I was at the store today and got to chatting with a lady behind me in line. She immediately caught my attention because she was wearing an Eagles tee shirt and, of course, I had to strike up a conversation with her to tell her how much I liked it. Turns out that she is a veterinarian. Hmmm - a veterinarian that's a huge Eagles fan - now who did that remind me of.

Of course, none other than our very own Border vet a.k.a. eaglesvet.

Thank goodness - it was a different tee shirt, Eva. If had been like the one you sent me, that would have really freaked me out. Of course, I couldn't resist telling her about you. I guess vets just love the Eagles - makes sense since they are birds.
