Thank you for the correction, EF........now I ABSOLUTELY know I've got to call H and see if she'll translate for me. AND the closing line of the review makes a LOT more sense now: AND ALL OTHER MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS NICE OLDER ROCK BAND HAVE SOMETHING!
I just need a little downtime.........
This is really funny with the translator LOL
This Monday evening, no murky waters Chen. The scene sparkles in all kinds of colors, as the "eagles" shortly after 20 clock at the rushing of 10 000 cheering fans, and landing on "The Long Run" start. What comes now is a sensational and played brilliantly nostalgic evening, until 23:20 clock time.
The Eagles dominated and dominated in the seventies, the country-rock, they were cleverly blended elements which reflect aspirations of their fans: melancholy and mood in one. Their synthesis of pop, rock and country, their focus back to the Bluegrass met the then sense of time and still comes to dazzling.
Over 60, good for voice
Normally the best for last. But the repertoire of Glenn Frey (guitar), Don Henley (guitar, percussion), Joe Walsh (guitar) and Timothy B. Schmit (bass) is so huge that it is the Quartet can even allow, his greatest hit "Hotel California "as number four in the evening game plan to bring. The indoor seating is what the character of this extraordinary concert event further underscores. Support comes from two keyboardists, a drummer and a four winds Group. Even if the four front men in the years have come - all the Eagles are about 60 - they are all still in good voice.
Whether in its typical chorus or if they can speak their guitars, there are always minutes long ovations from the audience. The Eagles are musically perfect, since there is no slip, everything is huge and good. Even the light show and video sequences, the big bang effects without constraints. For a use of pyrotechnics, the program is far too dignified mixed. That remains for the department hits a lot of time.
Hits just keep on coming to the conclusion
Well, the first part is a little stiffer. For the second being more spontaneous. Joe Walsh is now doing his faxes, attracts grimaces and starts the reaction of the audience with a camera on a helmet On. Despite the length of the concert is little time to chat with the audience. The program also includes a few numbers from 2007-his double album "Long Road out of Eden", sung by Timothy Schmit. Otherwise, only hits on the string of pearls: "Tequila Sunrise", "In the City," "Witchy Woman," "Take it easy" and "Desperado," as the encore of course.
I think you get the idea.
I love the "string of pearls" reference...........THAT is the kind of review we want to see! FINALLY a music critic with class and taste!!!
I just need a little downtime.........
They don't do Tequila Sunrise (more's the pity).
The Bee Gees comparison has only ever been valid once, for the song One Of These Nights. I love the Bee Gees but the two bands are totally different.
As for a 'few numbers' from LROOE sung by Tim, he only sings I Don't Want To Hear Any More from that album. Can't these people do research?
Ummmm - I was referring to the review of the concert which states he sings 'a few numbers' from LROOE. He sings ONE. I guess I should have said 'during the show he only sings IDWTHAM'.
I'm just reading the concert reviews on the ticket sale website... people were thrilled.
Just two examples:
Berlin
Since I started English lessons in the 70s and Hotel California were heard and discussed, I'm a fan of the Eagles. On this way I would like to thank the Eagles for over 30 years of wonderful music. As I heard about the tour titel Long Road out of Eden, I had the fear that they would drop my favorite song Hotel California, but the 4 had a great mix of new and old songs. For me this concert was an unforgettable experience and I am glad that I could see it. Every song what they played was a masterpiece and they are the most ingenious musicians that I've ever seen. I hope they'll come back, then I am there again.
Munich:
I saw the Eagles for the first time and was thrilled. 2 Row, center block is also awesome. Sound on this place was absolutely gigantic. The older men are simply perfect musicians and performed perfectly. I would have liked to hear a few more songs from the Long Road out of Eden. The old songs are top class and I love them, but the new songs (live) were also interesting. But I would definitely go again to an Eagles concert.
Gotta say I'm digging the spider tie!!!!
He sings it high, he plays it low
