The music doesn't get much more "pure" than that performed by Greg Lake in "Lucky Man". Just vocals with a lot of "space" and an acoustic guitar. No place to hide when singing and playing like that.

I was there! I was at Farm Aid 1985! Wish I could say I specifically remember Neil Young's performance but...

I had to include this, because I have watched this a million times and it still gives me goosebumps. Neil's voice, the fact that he looks so happy to be there, the lyrics, Robbie's guitar, Joni Mitchell's amazing vocals, and of course, Rick and Levon...Love it so, so much.
(Notice how Rick and Robbie start to sing the chorus a whole verse early! So cute.)
