I'm dating myself but I remember the Bay City Rollers well!
I'm dating myself but I remember the Bay City Rollers well!
My older sister loved the Bay City Rollers! She had one of their albums, but aluminum foil was taped over the back so you couldn't see it or open the gatefold. I was very young when she got it - we're talking toddler - so I didn't exactly notice, lol. A few years later, though, I asked my mother why it was like that. Mom told me that the foil was covering a photo that was not something young girls needed to see (Nora was around 7 or 8 at the time she got it). Of course, after hearing that, I secretly worked the aluminum foil loose enough so I could see what the dirty picture was. It was this. What can I say, we were sheltered. lol
I will most likely not be on till late tomorrow if at all and I really need to do this birthday.
Ric Ocasek of The Cars (now you know why I had to to this!!) turns 61 tomorrow March 23rd. I'm not huge on Ric but am HUGE on my beloved Cars!!
My favorite Ric song (besides this vid had Benjamin introducing it!)

Happy Birthday Ric!
Willie, I always assumed that my favorite Cars songs were sung by Ric, but watching You Tube I see now that they were actually sung by Benjamin! My faves - Let's Go and Bye Bye Love.

Finally had some time to watch some of these videos. Thanks for taking the time to put them up ladies!
Since I've always lived in the country, we didn't have cable (or satellite, of course) back in the 80's. So, I never got to see some of these at all. I knew the songs, but.....Some are quite hilarious to watch now! (The Heart girls hair?! And the Shake It Up Cars video!) Too funny!
