Very happy, very belated birthday wishes to Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason (73 - I think - on 27th January) and also to Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones (71on 3rd January).

I'm sure there's someone I'm forgetting now... think he was in the same band as one of the above two... just trying remember...

I should wish a belated happy 66th birthday to the great Phil Collins for January 30.

I'm doing good NMB - thanks for asking. Funnily enough I was reminded of you yesterday. One of my Christmas presents along with the HOTE DVD was the Led Zeppelin Celebration Day CD/DVD combo set - I was listening to the album on the train yesterday. I seem to remember you saying you were there on the night? Good times (not bad times)!

Happy 55th Birthday to Axl Rose and happy 72nd birthday to the late Bob Marley.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

I was indeed there to witness the glory. I have the DVD as well, but I haven't watched it or even taken the cellophane off the package. It's like I don't want my memory of the momentous night to be changed.

Yes, and happy birthday to Steve Hackett for the 12th. Also, Peter is 67. He was born in 1950 (as was Steve).

OOps. Thanks, FP. You're right. I don't know where I got 66 from.
