Long hair is very rock n roll

1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
I hope Robert Plant CBE had a happy birthday. I heard my favourite solo song, Big Log, and also Somebody's Knocking from Mighty Rearranger.
He'd also be happy that his football team, back in the Premier League after several years, had their first win of the season at the weekend (I refer to Wolverhampton Wanderers).
To funny---Photobucket deleted my Robert Plant picture from yesterday! If it had been a picture of some bimbo in a bikini, they probably would of been ok with it!! Anyways....moving on....
Today Joe Strummer of The Clash would of been 57 years old. He died on December 22nd 2002 from a congenital heart defect.

Weekend birthdays:
Keith Moon would of been 63 years old on Sunday. I love this clip from the Smothers Brothers.

And Rick Springfield will be 61 on Sunday.

He sings it high, he plays it low
We had Jesse McCartney at our venue a while ago and he covered "Jessie's Girl." I've never particularly cared for the song, but I was horrified on Springield's behalf.
Not to be foundlessly maudlin, but I'm experiencing difficulty deciding who we're going to be remembering in forty years. "Jay-Z is 70 today. He was known for such classics as 'Big Pimpin.'" (Sigh.) I really dislike my generation. I'm trying, but... Nevermind. Better cut off before I embark upon another diatribe. Off to hide from society with Pink Moon.
Aah, a few great rockers have had birthdays lately I see! Sorry I missed Robert Plants'. Pre-Don, he was pretty much the main object of my lust... er, admiration. What a man, and what a band! The epitome of the '70s rock 'n' roll sex god Don't feel alone, Willie! I'm with you.
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
