I would be mortified to leave after looking at a menu. If I go in, I'll order something, even if it's just a single drink at the bar.
Also, are there any other "Eagle landmarks" anyone can think of that a visitor to LA might add to those already mentioned in this thread? To recap, we've already mentioned:
Dan Tana's
The Troubadour
Coldwater Canyon / Laurel Canyon
The Beverly Hills Hotel
The Sunset Grill
The ERC offices on Glendon (although they're nothing special frankly)
A couple more I thought of:
Laurel Canyon Country Store where Glenn saw David Crosby after he first arrived in LA
1020 Laguna Avenue in Echo Park where Glenn and JD Souther lived above Jackson Browne (although it's been turned into a fancy bungalow now)
Maybe the Laurel Canyon Country Store is what I was just trying to remember. Somebody posted somewhere on here several months ago about a store in LA that all those cool people frequented, but I can't remember what thread it's in.

It's a perfect occupation for me.
I just read a blog that Jennifer Aniston worked at the Canyon Country Store. The blogger said Tommy the long time owner is very nice & even took her & her husband on a tour of the deli/store & let them take lots of pics. She also said the sandwiches were fantastic!
The Laurel Canyon Country Store was frequented by everyone that lived there and is mentioned in all the biographies of these musical stars. Must be the one.
It would definitely be on my list to see!

Well, I found it. Thirsty&Hot posted this link in another thread. The article was title 10 Eagle Related Spots, or something like that. Unfortunately they've taken it down.

I thought of some more (I know - I'm out of control)!
Studio Instrument Rentals - where the Eagles' first rehearsal took place
Lido Apartments - the lobby of this is where the Hotel California's interior photo was shot (however, it seems to have gone downhill)
The Record Plant - where the Eagles recorded a lot of their albums
Elektra/Asylum Offices - where Geffen signed the Eagles (at its old location: 962 North La Cienega, West Hollywood, CA)
Further afield:
Joshua Tree National Park - the location of the photo shoot for the Eagles album
Paramount Ranch - the location of the photo shoot for the Desperado album (the outfits for this shoot were rented from Western Costumes at 11041 Vanowen St. in the San Fernando Valley - it's still open)
Ontario Motor Speedway - the location of California Jam
Wow Soda - Awesome finds! Is there going to be time for concerts? LOL!
I wouldn't worry about being mortified about leaving after taking a look at the menu. It's a pretty common practice around here where I'm from. That's why a lot of restaurants have the menus posted. If you remember when you, Houston Baby, and I were in the hotel restaurant in Memphis, we originally went in to look at the menu. We decided to stay, but I think we were all in agreement that we wished we had politely excused ourselves before being seated. That overpriced place sucked hard!
