My friend that got married this past Saturday introduced me to a song by Alter Bridge called "In Loving Memory." He's the same age as me and his Mom died the same year as mine. He was trying to find a song to dance to with his sister for the "mother/son dance" that would honor his Mom so he sent it to me to get my opinion. Bawled.Like.A.Baby. LOL What a beautiful song!!

Thanks Soda. It was hard, that's for sure. It was an honor at the same time though, that he would want my opinion on something so special! Its funny how a song that was written from someone else's perspective and emotions can be an exact representation of what I (and many others I'm sure) feel. Anyway, it really is a beautifully written song!

They released a concept this year named "The Defamation of Strickland Banks". Their most famous hits so far are "She Said" and "Praying". He's actually a rapper, but obviously he has a great voice, and their stuff is really funky and soulful... The surprise album of the year, for me.

Troub I read (or watched? can't remember now lol!) an interview with Elton John where he mentioned how big of a fan of that band he is and how he thinks they'll be the next big thing worldwide.
