White Ladder (the album that Glenn was obviously listening to) is wonderful. I used to listen to it as I was drifting to sleep! I don't own any of David Gray's later works, but I should. I like everything that I hear of his.

Sail Away and This Year's Love are two of my favourites.

When TBS was in Chicago, I was tellling Soda about a local band I used to follow, blah, blah... in any case, they've been on my mind and I was watching them on youtube tonight. You may recognize Marty Casey, as he was the runner up on Rockstar: INXS. After listing to them again, I've gotta see them live again... one of the live bands I've ever seen! Here are the Lovehammers...

this is one of my favorite songs by the them.

I believe I've mentioned my love of Morrissey on here once or twice, but I'm not sure how many of you like him (or even how well-known he is in the US) but he is one of my favourite artists - on a par with the Eagles, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, in terms of how much I love him! I'm a lyrics girl, and his lyrics are just incredible. Witty, biting, sensitive and very very clever. So for those not yet converted...

This is from his live in Manchester DVD from 2004, which is just fantastic. Some great festival footage on there as extras, too. This song, Let Me Kiss You, is from the album You Are The Quarry. (The moment from about 2.41 to 2.43 kills me!)

Two of the festival videos I mentioned earlier:

And a couple of songs from when Morrissey was with The Smiths:

Posting in the Christmas thread reminded me of Thin Lizzy. Anyone else into them? This is one of my favourite songs.

And a couple of classic rockers:

How could you not love Phil? Another bass player I've always liked. I had not seen that first video before-that was a gorgeous video! Always liked the song a bunch!

I know, I know----Everyone knows this song but of course it's the most well known of theirs, at least here in the states.

    Love this song also.

Whiskey In The Jar is awesome. Gary Moore's version of it at Lynott's 50th birthday tribute is one of the best things I've ever seen.

Speaking of music we love, I absolutely worship this song. I heard it yesterday and it occurred to me that I should post it.

I don't know if any of you have heard this, but it's David Gray and Annie Lennox with "Full Steam". They performed it on Children In Need on Saturday night, and I loved it straight away. (All proceeds from the sale of this song go to CIN.) I was going to post that live performance, but I watched the official video on youtube and thought it was fantastic. So classy! Enjoy.

I like to look on youtube for acoustic covers of songs and I ran across this guy accidentally last night. I absolutely LOVE him! He's from Liverpool/London,UK and I guess just formed a band called Lawson. Anyway, this is his cover of Eric Clapton's "Change The World." He also has covers of Marvin Gaye's "Heard It Through The Grapevine," Al Green's "Let's Stay Together," and others. I love his voice and he's adorable

ETA: I should probably add that his name is Andy Brown lol
