You might already know this, Peek, but Glenn said listening to David Gray's album helped inspire No More Cloudy Days!

    Here are his words:

    On No More Cloudy Days
"I wrote that after I listened to David Gray's album, the album that had 'Babylon' on. It was the first big album for him. I was listening to that song and just started thinking about that kind of style. He was a little bit of the inspiration for that tune." (Undercover 2005)

I love little tidbits of information like that! Especially how a song came to be. I've got a couple of Beatles' books where John and Paul (separately) remember who wrote what and why.

I do remember reading that before but I had forgotten what the exact quote was from Glenn. Thanks for posting it.

Here's another David Gray song called Be Mine that I really like.

I thought I would revive this thread to share my music, This is a beautiful song by Ringo, and one of my favorites, besides It Don't Come Easy

EL, love the song from Ringo... I haven't heard it for a long time.

I came across videos from Michael McDonald last week. I love his voice and the songs.

This is one of my favorites I could listen to it over and over again.

Since the concert the other night, this is the song I can't get out of my head. You would of thought it would be a Jonny Lang song but it's Robert Cray. Oh-and check out Richard Cousins on the bass-he's the one that wouldn't leave Katie alone. He was barefoot Saturday night also. To funny!

And then this is the other group that opened up the show. Apparently they are more well known that I thought. I had never heard of them before but they made at least 3 new fans Saturday night.

I've watched since the 2nd season and only had one year where I wasn't really impressed with at least one person. But by the end of the year, several of the contestants had grown so much that I actually did end up liking them. I was quite proud of myself because the ones that I liked or picked to win either ended up winning or being the most successful contestant from that season. Yay me

Oh and on another note....David Gray is pretty awesome!
