You're right Maleah, he's great! Very talented and very cute! Are you sure he has no plans to play music for a living?

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
Wow-Maleah--He is really good. To bad he's not planning a career of it. Loved the Wish You Were Here vid. How did you manage to find him and doesn't it give his name or anything? What a shame!
He sings it high, he plays it low
When you click on his "name" or ID it takes you to his homepage on youtube and shows all of his videos. On the left he has a FAQ and he states there that he has no plans for a career in music. It does have a link to his myspace page though!
Oh and I forgot to tell you how I found him. LOL We heard "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King at work Monday or Tuesday and someone mentioned how that would be a cool wedding song so I went on youtube and looked for acoustic covers to see how it sounded. His happened to be one of the videos I found and I was so impressed that I went and watched every single one he had! And he has a LOT!
It's really a shame he doesnt have plans for a music career, hit Hallelujah brought tears to my eyes.. beautiful, just beautiful...
I know! I was SHOCKED when I read that! How can someone be given that much talent and then not use it? Wow........I'd give anything for just a LITTLE of that talent! LOL

I am no big Billy Joel fan, however, occasionally I enjoy it to hear him.
This was the first Billy Joel song I had ever heard, and
I love this song since I heard it for the first time!We didnīt Start the Fire

For one part of our final grade in ap history we have to get in groups and sing this song and make a slide show and then we have to pick 2 years that are not between 1949 and 1989 ans write a verse for each. Then we have to sing them with the chorus in between with a power point and explane why we picked the pictures we did.
Any kind of love without passion
That ain't no kind of lovin' at all
I wanted to share this fantastic photo of two of my heroes, Van & Eric (no surnames necessary), apparently taken after Van's show at the Royal Albert Hall where he performed the whole of Astral Weeks. Van is notoriously 'grumpy' but not here!
I am making a 'summer songs' playlist and would appreciate any ideas. Any songs that are perfect to listen to in the summer, are about summer or just remind you of summer. Thanks!

Has anyone heard of Del Amitri? They're a Scottish '90s band, and I used to listen to them quite a lot in the car. They crossed my mind the other day and after reading PM's request for summer songs, I thought I'd mention them. Hatful Of Rain (the best of Del Amitri) is great.
A couple of tracks from that album:

This is probably their most famous one:

Driving With The Brakes On, Here And Now, Just Like A Man and Be My Downfall are all worth a listen, too.
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
