Man, he really puts himself into it, and with the whole place sings with him..... sigh! Do you have the video? If not, I can send it to you.

I don't have the video and dedicated the great majority of 2005 to finding it...to no avail, of course..! I would LOVE it... I have a feeling I'm going to be sending a great deal of CD-R's and all your way for the trades, 'cause I don't have, like, ANY of that stuff!

My friend and I: "Nice coat Glenn!"
Joe Walsh, at next pause between songs: "Hey, nice coat, Glenn."
Glenn: "Thanks, thanks...yah, I picked this up at the..Liberace garage sale, glad you like it..."
Hey, I'm happy to share the love!

I'm testing the new look board. I had a voucher for a free itune and on spec looked for 'Wild Mountain Thyme'. Just by chance I found a Mark Knopfler version that he did for a film called 'A Shot At Glory', I think about golf, appropriately. If I can work out how to link to it I will. If not, try and find it on your itunes/napster/etc browser as it is very gaelic and a moving version.

This way to happiness...
MK doing WMT?!!! I just joined the MK forum and it's like it's migrated over here! I had no idea. The thought.... but there's nothing on iTunes.
No, I haven't abandoned Glenn, but I am rather partial to MK as well.
NB The film A Shot at Glory starred Robert Duvall as a Scottish (!) football manager.
This new layout is beautiful. Thanks Nancy.
Ah, football, not golf! Robert Duvall as a Scot? I suppose if Mel Gibson could attempt it, anyone can!
The track is an instrumental version, in the genre of Local Hero. Mark Knopfler's guitar playing is superb.
If it's anything like the Local Hero theme which moves me to tears every time, I can imagine what it's like.
I love Glenn's version of this song! It's awesome.
I'm delighted to see this thread reactivated in time for our National Feastday. Thanks Holly. To all of you wherever you are, hope you have a great St Patricks Day (or Paddies Day as we call it). If you do celebrate the day enjoy your celebrations!
