BTW, if anyone is wondering why this place suddenly looks very different, I've created a board style theme for each album and whenever the anniversary of an album comes up, we make that album's board style theme the board default for a week.
It looks great! On the Border has always been one of my favorite albums and album covers. Can't believe it's 39 years old! I think this album is one of their best mixes of everything they are as a band, from the rock of Already Gone to the bluegrass of Midnight Flyer to the ballads to the bluesy slide guitar of Good Day in Hell. Just an awesome album that I wore out the grooves out on when I bought.

What a fun thing to do to celebrate each album. Very creative!

Happy Birthday to On The Border!

Love this album. It's probably my 2nd favorite Eagles album (it's either this one or The Long Run). It has a lot of songs I love. Already Gone, The Best Of My Love, James Dean, Good Day In Hell, On The Border, etc. Great songs.

Already Gone is such a rocker. Love, love, love that song. Hopefully it'll be back in the set for the "History" tour. And hopefully they will go back to playing the guitar solos like they did up until F1 and not the F1 version. But I'd take that over no AG. But still, the solos in that song are killer and are my favs, after HC. I get such a thrill playing Glenn's solo live.

Love this album. I love The Title track because of the interaction between the members. They do a great Cover of Ol 55. My fav is probably Is It true. It really is a great album on the whole. It was indeed....A Good Day In Hell!

HAPPY 39TH ANNIVERSARY TO ON THE BORDER!!!

I also love this album - yeah, I know ... quite a stretch for me. As others have said, it really showcases the band's ability to do such a diversity of music. As they say, variety is the spice of life and they really spread it around on this one. I'll definitely be playing this a lot during our celebration week.
