Default Glenn Frey on Jake Trout and the Flounders

I got the Jake Trout and the Flounders CD off of Ebay so I could hear the track "I Want In" which was said to be by Glenn Frey. Well, it turns out that that track was a bit of dialogue - him joking about the Flounders. To my delight, however, on the Flounder's parody "Struggler's Blues," he sings a verse - AND There's a video interview that lasts about a minute where he talks about the Flounders! I'm uploading all of it right now!

Those are great, Nancy. What a find! I'd never heard of Jake Trout and the Flounders before. 'Struggler's Blues' is a great track and Glenn makes a good job of sending himself up! The interview is certainly a bonus, he's looking good there and I like the way he says he is available for an Eagles reunion. Would it be about 1992?

The song sounds great. But I don't know him, either. If you wouldn't have mentioned that Glenn sings a verse I wouldn't have noticed it.

Kate - The CD was released in 1998, although the interview was probably done in 1997. I think the joke was that Jake telling him the Flounders were getting back together inspired him to do HFO, but that now that the HFO tour is over, he's available again, lol.

Lissa - Weird that you don't get the audio - do you have the latest version of Quicktime?

Michaela - tsk, tsk. This is unacceptable. I assign you to listen to Glenn's gorgeous voice for at least one hour today. Get out a CD of your choice and get to it as soon as possible! lol

That is very cute, and a great find Nancy. Glenn has such an offbeat sense of humor at times - I love it.

BTW - In my effort to be nicer to my fellow Glenn groupies, I think I should assist Michaela with her assignment. Is it okay if we we choose DVD so we can get video, too?
