Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
Thanks for your post, shun. However, the show was actually on 07/06 and it was one of the best and most memorable Eagles show I ever attended. I am sooooo glad I was there along with 8 other Borderers. We had a blast!

Guys, check it out: someone has an original program from the 1971 Disneyland grad nite where Linda Ronstadt and the future Eagles performed. Turns out the actual date was June 12, 1971: http://vintagedisneylandtickets.blog...nite-1971.html
Isn't that super cool?! It should be in a museum. It's important!! Loving the groovy artwork and photos. I bet the concerts were held at the Sound Castle.
Thank you to Lola for finding this muy interesante document.
Very cool! Thanks, NMB (and Lola). I must be dense b/c the only date I see for "grad nite" is June 16, 1971. What am I missing?

You're right, D.! June 16, 1971 is the - I mean THE - date. I was excited and confused. Most of the time, I'm just confused
It's so neat. Never imagined actual evidence of the historic night existed.
There's often confusion about dates. These things happened a long time ago. People's memories play tricks on them. Maybe there were lots of fireworks, and so the guys remembered it as a 4th of July celebration. Or maybe there was another show on the 4th of July. There are a million explanations. Still, unless she played a show without them and came back on the 4th of July, this one was the first!
Soda - Didn't Linda state they played the whole week together at Disney for the graduation celebrations ?

She may have (I'm afraid I can't remember her doing so, so I can't confirm it off the top of my head, but my memory is awful). If you could find that, it would further cement this as the REAL date. It's pretty much 95% there already in my mind.
To further add to the confusion, the Randy Meisner Concert Chronology website lists June 12, 1971 as the first (and only) appearance of the original 4 at Disneyland. It includes a promo ad featuring Linda and June 12 as "Date Nite" which apparently fell on a Saturday.
It looks like the guys played more than one date at Disneyland backing Linda.
