So for any of you that don't already know the new Eminem CD leaked today. This is not my kind of music at all. Since a lot of people know I'm a Joe Walsh fan they directed me to the track. I can't make it all the way thru. However there are two things I gotta say:

1. Hope Joe is getting big $$ for this.
2. I forget what number 2 is.

Just f'n awful. I too couldn't make it past one minute in. What passes for music these days makes me want to cry. I wonder if Joe listened to the entire thing? I hope his cash register rings big. Perhaps it will bring him new younger fans. I can't stand it.

P.S. The kids on Twitter are going nuts for it.

I didn't watch the video (still just seeing white boxes), but it doesn't sound like I need to. I just appreciated your HOTE pt. 1 Joe reference!

I listened to the whole song (thing) and IT DID NOT GET ANY BETTER!
Besides Joe's music the only lyric that I liked was "I can't turn my back on the city that made me".

Well...that was startling. I got about 3/4 of the way through. I like it any time any artist references/samples the Eagles (not that I have actually heard a lot of samples.) This isn't even a sample, its the entire song with new lyrics. Who is singing those couple of verses, though? That's not Joe - does it say on twitter or whatever who that song features??

I really don't know who sings what. I assume it's Eminem but I don't know enough about what he does to know. I still can't get over how craptastic it is. I also can't get over how the kids on Twitter are saying it's genius. One from this morning:

"the best song mmlp2 is "So far.." Easily... Eminem basically just introduced Joe Walsh to all the hip hop heads. GOOD MUSIC"

So, even tho it's awful I hope it does introduce Joe to an even wider audience.

On a side note, sodascout, I will never look at Glenn the same way again. I love your halloween avatar!! I think of Glenn as a sports type of guy so to see him as a vampire is a crack up! It really works.

Joe was either thinking $$ or wider audience or..... he doesn't have any control over it. I saw one show of Joe's on youtube where he talks about loosing control of his own catalog, and having to ask record business people to use them, etc.... I wonder. I wonder if he's heard this. Meanwhile, every classic rock web site is talking about this, this morning.
