"They will never forget you 'till somebody new comes along"
1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
Checking my email this morning, I saw one from Amazon entitled New Fleetwood Mac Biography. My heart skipped a beat and I thought to myself, how is it we haven't heard about this from our resident FM expert? So I anxiously opened it:

How do they call this a Fleetwood Mac Biography? Interesting, I'm sure, but not what I was hoping for.
He sings it high, he plays it low
Yeah, that advertising is a bit misleading. That's the book PFD and I posted about yesterday. It's not so much a biography as a detailing of the Rumours recording sessions, written by Ken Caillat who was one of the album's producers. There are bits of Ken Caillat's personal life in there (mostly about his hook-ups at the time) but most of it is focused on the recording sessions. Very little is written about the personal lives of the band members.Originally Posted by TimothyBFan
He did talk about one fight between Stevie and Lindsey which was telling because they would scream at each other between takes, then harmonize together beautifully without missing a beat as soon as he hit "record." So, you'd get swings like [record] "You make lovin' fun. It's all I wanna do..." [rewind] "You are so full of yourself!" "I'm moving out as soon as we get back to LA!" [record] "You make lovin' fun. It's all I wanna do..." Talk about compartmentalization!
Another interesting factoid about Stevie and Lindsey was that Lindsey deliberately held out as long as he could before telling Stevie what the lyrics were for "Second Hand News" because he knew they would upset her, and she complained about the lyrics to "Go Your Own Way." Likewise, Christine told John that "You Make Lovin' Fun" was about her dog to spare his feelings (it was really about her new boyfriend).
That's about it in terms of Stevie/Lindsey drama as recounted by Ken Caillat.
See, that's how observant I am. I saw your discussion yesterday but never put 2 and 2 together. Duh! Does sound interesting tho. If I can get it cheap enough used, I might try to get it. Be a nice one to add to the RNR books collection I suppose.

Looks like Fleetwood Mac will be going on tour again in 2013!

The Mac and the Eagles are going to be touring at the same time... looks like I need to start saving my money.
Yep, better start saving!

Definitely will be going to Chicago or St. Louis for that!! I've been wanting to see that band for a long time... They and the Stones are the highest on my list of bands I want to see but haven't.

Mick Fleetwood is opening a new restaurant in Hawaii. It's available for weddings. I must admit that, if/when I get a marriage offer, I'm going to suggest it! Regardless, if I ever get to Hawaii again (and I'm pretty sure I will, as it is awesome), I'll go there for a meal. The only problem is that many of Mick's extra-FM entrepreneurial jaunts fall flat (actually, all of them have - and there have been many). I'm afraid his restaurant will close before I get a chance to visit it. I hope things work out for him this time, though, and he finally gets himself a "day job" that pays off for him.
The article also gives us a more specific date for the next Fleetwood Mac tour - March of 2013 - but promises only one leg. Whether or not that leg goes well is what determines if the tour continues.
Finally, he, Lindsey, and John McVie have all been working on demos together. If Stevie gets on board, we might just have another Fleetwood Mac album on its way. So I gotta say, as much as I love Stevie solo, GET WITH THE PROGRAM, GIRL! I WANT MORE MAC!
