Celebration of "Long Road Out of Eden"!

I skipped Waiting in the Weeds for almost two years after purchasing before actually listening and realizing it's far and away the best track on the album, imho. "A small gray spider spinning in the dark in spite of all the times the web is torn apart..." Love it.

2 years?! Oh my, what you missed for 2 years! Yes, it's brilliant!

Bringing this thread forward for the 4th anniversary. This was the first Eagles studio album that I bought. I had just become a fan earlier in 2007

A truly fabulous album that I never tire of. There is something different in it everytime I listen. Cant believe its 4 years though and I wish we could have another.

Welcome to the Border, RedCloud! And I definitely agree with your post. I had LROOE in my CD player for 3.5 years before I replaced it one of the Very Best Of discs. And I would love love love another album.

I can't believe it's been 4 years since LROOE was released; it seems like just yesterday!

I still remember the excitement of buying that album! Since I had only become a hardcore in 2005, it was my first time to get an Eagles album hot off the presses, so to speak. As soon as I got out of the store, I ripped open the plastic, put it in my car CD player, and drove around West Lafayette until I had listened to both discs in my car in their entirety because I couldn't bear to take the time to pause it in order to bring it into the apartment.

This in spite of the fact that thanks to Capital Gold, I had already heard all the songs on my woefully inadequate computer speakers!

Unbelievable that it's been four years. Oh, to have another one!

Happy fourth anniversary to LROOE! I'll admit that for some reason I had a hard time accepting this one, as it was so far removed from the others (time-wise anyway). But it has some great work on it and I look forward to another "new" one!

It's amazing to me how much more I like "Somebody" now than when it first came out. I think part of that might be the fact that it's my little niece's favorite song off of LROOE. Whenever she visits me she insists we play it again and again and again... and instead of getting sick of it, I like it more each time I hear it. Weird!

In general, I really love this album. When I saw the Eagles in concert, it gave me such a great appreciation for LROOE. Happy anniversary to Long Road Out Of Eden!
