lol I am a big country music fan so I watch all the awards shows. I actually watched the CMT 2008 awards. Joe and Tim gave away an award and Allison and Mr. Plant definently won for wide open video. I even went and double checked to make sure.

Also watched the ACM awards......which btw, Reba should be asked to host more often! She was great! I remember being very disappointed, even though I knew it was going to happen, when Rascal Flatts took the vocal group award over the Eagles.

The Country Music Association Awards Show airs from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Cannot wait to see them on TV tonight!!! Now if I can only set through the rest of the stuff--Sorry, don't want to offend anyone, but I simply dislike Country music!

I'm a fan of eighties/early nineties type country music like Alabama, Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood and George Strait (it's good he's still in the scene), but not so sure about the new crop. I can't even tell apart most of the young pretty blondes who are now so prevalent in a genre that didn't used to be about looks. There are a few I like such as Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, and the sweet-as-can-be Clay Walker, but in truth if it weren't for the Eagles I wouldn't be watching.

Steph, apparently the CMA awards are not being televised by the BBC this year. But Bob Harris will be presenting a round-up of the awards on Thursday 13 November, 7.00-8.00pm, on BBC Radio Two.

Better than nothing I suppose, but I'm disappointed we won't be able to watch tonight.
