I enjoyed reading "The Wild Palms" aka "Absalom! Absalom!" (even though I was never really sure what was going on), but the audio version of "The Sound and the Fury" pushed me right to the edge, and not in a good way.

I cannot imagine listening to "The Sound and the Fury." That one works better using your own imagination for the different narrative voices. IMO.
"Light in August" is the one I couldn't quite connect with. I like his short stories, although it's been a long time since I've read anything by him (like BK).

I'm a bit mixed up with my Meiner threads

Sorry guys, I tend to skip the "photo" threads
I was kinda surprised that I hadn't seen it mentioned. It is wonderful. It's a prickly topic but it does suggest that his ex-wife didn't support his continued participation in his chosen vocation.

It's just great to see Randy out of the house. About the music/writing I am taking that with a grain of salt.

Perhaps we could start a new thread "Recent Randy sightings." Let's hope it becomes a more common occurence
Vote for Randy as "The Best Rock Bass Player" - he's currently #9. Go, Randy, go!

When I saw #9 I thought that was a typo! The last I looked he was #29 out of 70! Wow, he sure climbed up.
