Good interview. Hard to believe the man is close to seventy and has a six year old!

As far as the Joe mention ---

I saw that vid somewhere around here...

Very nice interview. How cool is it to call a Beatle your brother-in-law?!

On the HC question: It may have been in Felder's book that I read it or it may have been in something I found on one of the Walsh interviews.

What I recall hearing is that Felder was kicking back looking over a bay or some ocean front scene and the chord progression came to mind and he worked it into the arpeggio format in a sort of reggae feel and took it to Henley (I think). He liked it and it morfed into Hotel California with the inspiration of lyrics provided by the desert, LA and the social situation in which they found themselves. It was mostly Henley on the lyrics with Frey adding comment and thoughts.

I seem to have always recalled that Felder and Walsh heterodyned on the solo parts after the introduction.

Here's a really interesting interview with Joe from AU Radio. He talks about his addiction and recovery a bit! It's well worth a listen.

Great interview. Very open about what made him get sober. Love the part about surprising Ringo at his birthday by getting Paul McCartney there.

You know I have to mention this, when interviewer talks about the "rest of the band, you, Glenn Frey and Don Henley....". Again no freakin' mention of the bass player who must be the figment of my imagination. Love when Joe goes on to talk about during the time off, they all realized how much they missed it and learned to accept who each other are and get on with it again. Thank goodness!!!!

Would love to know the things on his "grateful list" he has for each day. Good for him.

Great interview!!!! Thanks Ticky for finding it!

Great interview! Joe sounds like such a nice guy. Loved the part about forgiving and forgetting and when asked if they would play Rocky Mountain Way and Life's Been Good he said oooookaaaay!
