Awwwww, my all time favorite Eagles song! It always brings good feelings to me when I hear it. 38 years? Impossible!

Well in keeping with the Take It Easy celebration, I think it is worth mentioning that today, June 3rd, marks the 38th anniversary of the very first time the Eagles appeared on the Billboard charts. A little over four weeks after its 1972 release, Take It Easy became the band's first hit single. I love to imagine how excited these young guys must have been with this news. Little did they know what the future held in store for them.

I can't remember when it first came out. It seems as if it's always been around, a very organic song!

Okay - Today is a pretty cool day in Eagles' history. It was 39 years ago today that the four original members, Glenn, Don H., Randy, and Bernie performed together on stage for the very first time at Disneyland. They were, of course, not the Eagles at the time, but were all a part of Linda Ronstadt's backing band.

Well, I think this is a pretty noteworthy day for the band. It was 35 years ago today that the Eagles had their first #1 album - One of These Nights. This was right on the heels of their first #1 single, The Best of My Love, which hit #1 a few months earlier in March of that same year. I think it's safe to say that 1975 was a really big year for the guys - it propelled them into superstardom, and they would never look back!

Congratulations to One of These Nights!
