    Re: Remembering Glenn Frey

I don’t know how many Borderers are familiar with country artist Collin Raye but he was well-known during the 90s for several hit songs, including a few #1s like “Love, Me.”

    He wrote his...

    Re: Remembering Glenn Frey

This is from Patti Davis’ blog written right after Glenn passed away. It’s short but sweet. I also posted the link in Bernie’s press thread.

    Re: Remembering Glenn Frey

This is a memorial tribute by the Songwriter's Hall of Fame back in 2016. I did a search on this thread and didn't find it. There were some interesting details about the early days of Glenn's music...

    Re: Remembering Glenn Frey

Thanks for the heads-up on the Brad Paisley song, Buffyfan and to Shun for posting the video. He also mentions Prince singing "Purple Rain" at the end.

    Re: Remembering Glenn Frey

Thank you for that, UtW. Glenn was certainly a charmer and a gentleman. I didn't know (or maybe I had forgotten) that he did a beer commercial in the 80s.

Thanks for the heads-up, Priscillaupstate. And much appreciation to the Brit Awards for remembering Glenn. His part starts at the 1:16 mark.

    Re: Remembering Glenn Frey

I heard this yesterday, and I completely agree--"simple, understated, and just beautiful."

I've been listening to Glenn's solo material on my iPod. That's how I first got to "know" him, as a solo...

Thank you AG95. The linked article at the bottom is well worth the read also. I saw it was already linked earlier several pages ago, so I won't post any of it, but I will re-post the link:

I missed the Emmys too but I did see the tweet. I didn't know Collin Raye was still around, lol. I'm glad he shared his memories of Glenn.
