Well, it may not be just about the money. I suggest that promotion of the album is a big factor (otherwise he could just release it himself?), and also Don may not want to be tied into a multi-album...

I've just read the thread about Don & Glenn appearing on the Geffen documentary - from that I think Don has many reasons to be fussy about negotiating a deal. I may have to be patient!

I thought I had read on here that Don commented that the album is actually finished, but he doesn't have a deal with a record label to release it...

I would love to get my hands on it!

I'm very much looking forward to hearing the new album (even if I have to wait for Northern Hemisphere spring - I got just a nanosecond of hope thinking "it's spring now" and then reality came...

Since there's already an album of Eagles covers (Common Thread?) - what's the point to doing it again? And why on earth would Don risk people saying his new version isn't as good as the Eagles'...
