Yep! I'll bunk up with anyone, I'm not fussy!
Ha! I can't believe you hadn't posted that before, Jess!
My son just finished a week of baseball camp led by our high school team and their coach. On the last day, each camper received an evaluation form, at the bottom of which was printed the high school baseball team's slogan:
Expect nothing. Blame nobody. Do something.
------------------------------------------------------
(Sounds like that team is all about taking responsibility for your own actions, that's for sure!!)
I've got two things that have recently reminded me of the Eagles.
First, I was driving through an underpass on my way to a friends house yesterday. There was some graffiti and I noticed "I  GF" spray painted on it.
Second, I've named my previous cars and I asked my friends to help me pick out a name for my new car. I wasn't coming up with anything and some of the names they were coming up with didn't really feel like the right for my car. After a few minutes, one of my friends said "How about Shiloh?" My response was "Perfect, i love it." After they all agreed that they liked the name i told them the reason why I like it and they just laughed and shook their heads. They can laugh all they want because now I have a new car, a name for it, and a reminder of Don everytime i get in it and drive.
Too cute, Pb!
Very cute! Although someone should tell Glenn he's taking this self-publicity thing a bit too far... ;)
It certainly is far preferable to either Longbranch or Pennywhistle. ;)
Anyway, I've got a story today too! I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but the teachers for the "young singles" Bible Study at my parent's church are a couple with the last name of Frey. Whenever I visit my parents, I attend their Bible Study class after the Sunday service.
Today, Mr. Frey announced that he had come up with a new way to spread the Word - to place golf tees in baggies along with a slip of paper containing the plan of salvation, and give them away on a golf course.
I know, it is unexceptionable for a man to like golf and want to work it into other activities. This is especially true if he lives in Kingwood where golf courses are so ubiquitous that the golf-themed movie Tin Cup starring Kevin Costner was filmed here. But when that man is named Frey... it made me smile. :)
