A new video interview!

Great interview! Very interesting. Learned a few new tidbits. Looks good for "After Hours ll"! :yay:
I discovered the video in a Google alert for this review http://www.music-news.com/showreview...nReviewID=8328. It was a good review, but then the reviewer only gave it 3 out of 5 stars.
ETA: The interviewer made this glaring error:
I did a search & there is a song called "After Hours" by Avery Parrish, but that is no excuse for that mistake.Quote:
Bacharach and David’s The Look of Love is delivered more like a typical Frey ballad, while Avery Parrish’s title track rounds off the album as it begins, with a song that evokes images of black and white movies and gently choreographed smoky dance scenes
Great interview but the angle of the camera seems a bit awkward IMO :ack:
GL - Yes, I read that interview earlier and meant to post a comment at the bottom explaining his mistake. Then I got sidetracked. I'll go do it now! I don't get the three out of five stars either.
TF - Yes, it wasn't a high-dollar setup. The camera was obviously on a table and probably bought from a place like Best Buy. And the road noise? Were they out on the street with a backdrop? Glenn had to keep leaning forward to hear what the man was asking. Since that put him closer to the camera I didn't mind.
I saw that! Good job! So I blasted him over the Rt. 66 'awkward' comment. And the three stars. Just another reviewer who listened to less than a minute of each song. I liked the comment someone else made about Here's To Life. The man obviously never listened to the original, the Streisand version I saw, she spoke it more than she sang it and it was very 'breathy'. I guess if that's his utopia, it's no wonder he thinks Glenn fell short.
I saw your post as well! Also, I question his use of the word "uncomfortable" in the review. There is nothing "uncomfortable" about this album! In fact, It gives me a very "comfortable" feeling!Quote:
when he goes more jazzy and uptempo things feel more uncomfortable.
I bet it's the Dorchester on Park Lane. There is a lot of traffic there.
Apart from a few too many 'you knows' he sounded very good as ever. I think he will do After Hours 2. I will do a couplel of screen shots of that later.
ETA: I see VA beat me to it! WOW!
