Best I could get are in Row O. I'll just have to wait and see if I can get something better later. :-(
Wow that was fast! I just watched pit seats and other closer ones go within two minutes!
Brooke, have you gotten the go ahead from your hubby?
How? I tried several times and never got any closer than row O! I was logged in at 10:00.
Well, I haven't really gotten him talked in to it, but if I could get really good seats I was going to go for it anyway. I have my ways.......
Brooke, spill the ways to me. ;) I might need them.
I was ready a couple of minutes before 10:00 and tried then but it was too early. According to my clock, about 10:03 they opened the presale. I just put the password in and it showed the interactive seating chart with the left half of second row pit available. Hubby called me from work a couple of minutes later (he knew I would be looking) and the pit tix were gone! I saw a very few scattered throughout row D and back, but they too were gone in minutes! My fear is that now they are in the hands of the brokers. :eyebrow: Not fair! I'm so thankful I got mine when I did!
From the book Classic Rock Songs by Tim Morse.
Running On Empty-Jackson Browne says: "This is going to sound silly, but I was always driving around with no gas in the car and that's when I started writing the song. I was sort of humming it, you know. When I was making The Pretender, I put my own personal oil stains on certain streets in Los Angeles. Night after night, I only drove from my house to the studio and back, and it became so familiar it was like walking down a corridor. I never bothered to fill up the tank because-how far was it anyway? Just a few blocks."
Thanks TBF. Talk about a literal translation!
Somebody posted a setlist for the Santa Barbara show on the 25th. Sounds like David Crosby was there! It looks like someone is attempting to do one for the 26th too. If so even the first song is different! There's several covers too.

Found a review for the Santa Barbara show. David Crosby was there.

 Great review! Thanks, Pm!
I just finished reading David's book Long Time Gone and found out that he and Jackson were very good friends. It would have been fantastic to have seen them together.
Yeah, cool story in the review of how David was in the audience 5th row and was invited up by Jackson. According to the reviewer it didn't seem planned.
Well, I really missed the boat on this. PM sent me a text while I was sick and I thought I replied, but my brain was not working quite right and I couldn't force myself to get out of bed. Then, I forgot. Now, all the seats that are left suck! We'll see what drops closer to the date - hopefully my luck will hold and I'll get a good seat at the last minute! Dreamer might even join me.
OR..........both of you could come to the Peoria, IL show and we could have a Border party! Maybe that would get a certain Borderer from MO there! Not to mention TBF and Austin!
Par-ty! Par-ty! Par-ty! :partytime:
Hmmmm - intriguing thought, PM! :hmm:
Sounds fun to me if we're talking about Peoria! I'll be watching for good tickets, too.
Carol_Lynn's show is tomorrow. I hope she checks in and lets us know how it was! And if you see this beforehand CL, have a great time! (She's got front row seats!) What song are you going to request?
Oh, and blow a kiss to JB for me! :inlove:
He's doing Looking Into You at some shows!

Woot!!
It seems he is opening with Farther On.

Please let me know if this works. I've been trying to figure it out for days!
This is from JB's Solo Acoustic 1 cd. He talks about singing Peaceful Easy Feeling at another show and how he flubbed the words!

Sorry Cathy, it doesn't work for me....
Worked for me just fine - went there and clicked on the download link. Listening to it right now - so funny! However, the file type - m4a - might not be playable by everyone's players.
It doesn't work for me either .
Sorry I don't know how to make it playable for everyone.
I just bought tickets to see Jackson in New Orleans :yay:
Whitcap, I'm so excited for you! I just know it's going to be a great show! I wonder if he'll do Where Were You from Time The Conquerer for your show since it's about Hurricane Katrina.
I would like to try this again. I think I have figured out how to convert my Itunes songs to an MP3 format. This isn't a song, but an intro to a song on Jackson's Solo Accoustic Vol. 1 cd. I wanted to post it because he talks about people requesting Peaceful Easy Feeling.

Ann, I'm excited for you and for me too! My concert is on the 23rd. Please come back here and tell us all about it!
PM--have to tell you I'm loving the new sig and the avi. They are both very HOT!
Enjoy yourself Ann!
I'll second that. Jackson looks delicious in your avatar!
And I'm going to eat him up in a couple weeks!
Lucky JB! ;)
Jackson did Peaceful Easy Feeling in Wiinipeg!

I'd love to hear him do PEF! I also hope he does Take It Easy. It's my favorite song of all time & I would love to hear the "other" co-writer do it. I've heard Glenn do it twice live! Once with the Eagles & once with Joe in Aspen. Love to hear Your Bright Baby Blues, Shape of a Heart & Runnin' On Empty too!
Well yell 'em out Ann!
I'm leaning towards requesting a real oldie, either Looking Into You or The Only Child or The Times You've Come or Sing My Songs To Me or.....:ack:
Oh boy....poor Jackson is going to be one busy guy with request come a couple shows here in the near future!:spin:
Here's a review & the setlist from Jackson's show last night at Massey Hall in Toronto. Not exactly a glowing review but as with the Eagles, the reviewer just doesn't get it! http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/Artists/B/.../17890981.html
I saw PM's beautiful avatar and had to stop by this thread. I skimmed the lastest review... and I have to say, I highly doubt his vocals were anything less than fabulous!
I can't recall if it was last summer, or the summer before when I saw Jackson. He was, without hesitation, AWESOME! His vocals were as clear and smooth as they were when he was a rising star in the 70's.
I know there are times when he improvises and tosses in extra songs here and there. I find him "real", for lack of a better word. I don't mind if a lyric gets messed up here or there...at least I know they are singing and not lip syncing.
The thing with live performances are, people are in the moment... and those little things don't matter much to me. Live shows allow you to take in more than a song... you take in an expierence, the crowd, the performer, the energy, the sound, the lyrics...
I hope anyone that gets to see Jackson has a wonderful expierence. Even though we were rain drenched and wet, it was one of the best shows I've been to... right up there with Aerosmith, where I couldn't take my eyes off the captivating Steven Tyler and Joe Perry...
In honor of GL's upcoming concert (Monday) I absolutely LOVE this song and hope he does it at mine!
