Happy 42nd Birthday to Already Gone. I just love the little video that is played behind the guys when they sing this song. Glenn driving across the country from Detroit to LA.

Love! One of my top Eagles songs!
Happy 42nd Already Gone!
Happy 42nd Birthday to "Already Gone"!!! :D Always loved this song, which is part of why I use it in my sig, and as I said before I actually lived it with a guy I almost got involved with (which is a long story in it's self LOL) and it was very therapeutic at the time. But had me thinking the other day about the lyric of "you were going to put me on a shelf" and somewhere Glenn is laughing at me because I just moved his and my Eagles records to the space I had on one of my bookshelves for all my Beatles albums, DVDs, and books since I'm going to make a space for my Eagles stuff too separate from the rest of music collection. LOL
I love the both the videos posted too, especially Glenn's road trip in the background!!! :D
As I watch the video in the background, I was thinking about when Glenn made his trip California back in the late 60s. It was like he was retracing his steps he did over 40 years ago. I'm leaving everything behind(including the woman who left him) and heading to the big city.
I just noticed Glenn's reflection in the rear view mirror at the end when he made it to Hollywood. I was always staring at the back of his head and the Hollywood sign. Never paid attention to his face in the mirror. LOL
One of my favorites, too. When I first heard it, I was obsessed with the last line of the song. "All right. Nighty-night."
Here is Jack Tempchin's version from, as he called it, his first grocery store gig. He talks a bit about how he and Robb Strandlund wrote the song. They wrote it in 20 minutes!

Happy 42nd anniversary to my namesake. Already Gone is my 3rd favorite Eagles song. I can remember being 7 or 8 years old and singing along with it.
Happy 43rd anniversary to Tequila Sunrise (yesterday) and happy 42nd anniversary to Already Gone (today) - two great Eagles songs for sure. They are both very different, but I still can't decide which one I love the most.
Happy 44th Birthday to the guys first single as a group, Take It Easy. Wow!! 44 years old.
Happy 39th anniversary to "Life in the Fast Lane," and cheers to Glenn's legendary tale and Joe's exercise in coordination behind this awesome song!:rockon::rockguitar:
