Re: Little Things That Remind You of Other Borderers
I spent last evening with my uncle, hanging out at his house. I had gone outside to check on the cats because of the bad weather we had. When I came back inside, my uncle said "well, the Braves lost to the Cardinals". My first thought was "I bet Brooke is happy". My second thought was "get it together, Braves!" :hilarious:
Re: Little Things That Remind You of Other Borderers
Yes, AG, we had a great game! I am lucky to have the Cardinals as my favorite team!
Re: Little Things That Remind You of Other Borderers
I didn't get to watch the game (we found out the score by watching the local 11 o'clock news), but from what I heard, it was a good game.
Re: Little Things That Remind You of Other Borderers
I was listening to the Today Show this morning and they were talking about flooding in Houston which made me think of HB and hope she was ok!
Re: Little Things That Remind You of Other Borderers
Thank you Brooke for thinking of me. I was not in any flooding since I was laid up at home after having been in a car accident last Saturday morning. An UNINSURED driver ran a red light and right into me. Thankfully neither of us was seriously injured but my car is totaled and I had to cancel my trip to NYC to see Don and also my trip to FL to see relatives. :weep:
Re: Little Things That Remind You of Other Borderers
HB - sorry to hear about the car accident and obviously it would have to be an uninsured driver just to make things more complicated. Bad that you have to miss out on Don and your family trip though, but hopefully you get everything sorted without too much fuss and you'll be up and about soon
Re: Little Things That Remind You of Other Borderers
Thank you Lacken. I will be meeting with the insurance adjuster tomorrow. We will see.
Re: Little Things That Remind You of Other Borderers
OMG HB - I didn't know anything about your accident. Thank goodness, you are okay!
Re: Little Things That Remind You of Other Borderers
Take care of yourself & good luck with the insurance adjuster!

Thank goodness that you are OK HB - that is the main thing. I hope your meeting goes well. I had an uninsured driver hit my car about 15 years ago, again totalling it. I had no luck with her insurance but at least I had comprehensive insurance myself so even though I lost my no claims it could have been a lot worse!
If you can walk away its the best outcome
