Celebration Of "James Gang Rides Again"
To celebrate it's 45th birthday, (Redbeard says 40th during the programme so I guess it's from 2010) Joe joins Redbeard In The Studio to talk about the the James Gang Rides Again album.

It's just about 49 minutes long and Funk #49, There I Go Again, Woman, Tend My Garden, The Bomber (Bolero included), Ashes, The Rain And I plus Walk Away from the James Gang Live In Concert album.
The music is from the Rides Again album but the story is all Joe's pre Barnstorm history.
All those great tracks on one LP, Joe was one helluva song writer.
I Couldn't help noticing the links to TSYGTPYG and BSF. I've more listening to do.

Two great Walsh articles in one day. I'm truly blessed.

James Gang Rides Again (Happy 45th birthday!) is a fantastic album. All those tracks are still a joy to listen to. Thank god they got rid of Kenny Weiss before they made it!
The James Gang were a great rock band but Joe was right to move on to work with more musicians who could offer a more diverse framework for his music.

 F50. And I agree that James Gang Rides Again is a great album. Hard to believe it's 45 years old, but ...
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JGRA!!!
Re: Celebration Of "James Gang Rides Again"
45 years old? Dang! I'll be making my uncle feel old soon as I believe that he had this album on 8-track back in the 70s.
I remember buying this album on cd about 4 years ago just because of Funk #49. I didn't know that Joe Walsh was apart of the band. I just liked the song so much. Now, of course, that's changed. :D (meaning I like more than just that one song)
That article waa a great read. I agree that The James Gang were a great band.
