Very cool!
This came up on Google Alerts also today. Is there a Timothy Mentions in the Press like some of the other guys? I figured I'd post it there since it's so small and don't want to start another new thread for it but don't see one. So I thought I'd go ahead and put it here then.

Wimbledon starts in less than a month.
That means The Best Thing Ever — England is coming up, too.
And over the weekend, in the midst of my meditative trance brought on by the Eagles and Timothy B. Schmit’s dead sexy fingers, I hit on the perfect insane prize for the winner.
I’m quite excited about it all.
Boy, have I ever been there done that!!! :hilarious: Don't really know what this is but sure got my attention!!
Why don't we change the title of the thread to "Timothy Mentions in the Press/Blogs"? Would work for me!
This is why we call you our leader!!! :hilarious: You always have a solution! Thanks!!
Thanks for the link....have to say I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. The vision of the Carrack/Timothy/Eagles encounter conjurs up something out of the Saturday morning cartoons -- too funny. Can't agree with the criticisms of Timothy's voice and delivery though. IT'S WHAT MAKES HIM SO EASY TO LOVE (AND HIS SMOKIN' HOT GOOD LOOKS DON'T HURT EITHER). We all know where our dedication lies!
cyndi---just got to tell you I love your signature line!! Ain't it the truth!!!
While doing some research for a review I am writing, I stumbled on this. Knowing that people on The Border leave no stone unturned, I thought I would post it here. If it has been posted elsewhere, my apologies. If not, well, here it is, enjoy. You'll have to scroll down to the picture of TBS.

HH, I've seen that picture before but had no idea where or when it was taken. Thanks for the link.
TBF, I'm glad you like the signature. Music is an integral part of my everyday life and I find it very uplifting and inspirational, irregardless of the genre. If it's the EAGLES, all the better!

Here's the part about Timothy...
http://popdose.com/wp-content/upload...LZZZZZZZ_1.jpg I also received a call from Irving Azoff, who requested that I get in touch with Tim Schmit of the Eagles and become involved in his plans to record a solo album. Irving wanted me to go to Tim’s house and hear what he planned to record. I did know Tim from the Poco years, but I hadn’t said three words to him during that period (Richie Furay was always the chatty one). I was a little anxious about calling a member of the Eagles and telling him I’d like to come and hear the material he was preparing for his solo album (imagine if Irving had wanted me to do the same with Henley and Frey…).
As expected, every time I did manage to reach Tim, he gave me the dodge or told me this wasn’t a good time, and for the first time in my professional life I learned what it was like to be considered the pesky jerk from the record company. I wanted to leave a message that said “Tim, I’m not a jerk – I actually have some understanding of the musical process,” but of course I never did; nor did I ever manage to hear one note of Tim’s music before I left the label. I had lunch in New York with Judy Collins, and had prepared for this by listening to her more recent albums. How was I to revive her career? To my ear, she was beginning to lose control of her pitch, and the only reason we were doing an album with her was because her contract required it. Elektra was actually in a similar position with many of artists whose careers had peaked some years earlier.
Yikes, harsh! I'm surprised Timothy would be so unreceptive towards someone Irving had recruited to help him.
Well, none of us really know Timothy personally but it's just hard to believe that the Timothy in the article is the guy that we all know and love.
Now see... I can totally picture Timothy blowing this guy off... in a nice way of course. I really do believe Tim has an edge to him... which of course I like!
If you click the picture link on this article, the photog talks about the pic of TBS on the boat and the pic following that is of Jackson and meantions Glenn. :)

Ooh, great find LTL!
I think it's hilarious that Jackson Browne apparently "re-gifted" the car Glenn gave him to a girlfriend.
Timothy did a new interview. He talks about Expando & being on the road.
Here is the link: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?f...ogId=513967236
Thank you Ann so much for posting that. What a great interview. Doesn't sound like we are going to get to much old stuff in concert. Loved some of the stories about the others on the cd.
He's just such a down to earth kind of guy.
Thanks Ann. What a great interview! Now I'm even more excited!
Wish I was going too!
and here is the article written from that interview:

'The recording was not done through the exchange of email files'.
That takes some of the gloss from LROOE when you hear it stated as bluntly as that.
Anyway it's Tim we need to be cheering on at the moment....
Thanks Ann. It's interesting that he came up with the beginning chords for the song LROOE.
Yes, I found the article very interesting.
Thanks, TF! The article is very interesting.
Wow, Tim is so freaking honest and frank. I love that. That's the best Tim interview I've ever read.
This blew my mind:
Shoot! I'm gonna be lookin' around next time I fly to Sacramento! ;)Quote:

I agree. One of the best interviews I've seen on Tim.
I loved reading that, Willie, thanks. It was especially interesting after listening to Expando for the first time last night. I just love comments like: "I hear people around my age talking about retirement and it’s just not something that is in my future. There’s no stop sign out there." :yay:
Thanks TBF. Good, thorough article.
Thanks TBF, it was really intresting to read!
Thanks, TBF...very interesting piece and I think the most I've ever heard him talk about his father. I, personally, would love to know more. I've searched for info on his father and the band but have only been able to find 'passing mention' sort of stuff.
Thanks TBF - a great find. Hearing some great interviews from Tim lately. Really interesting.
Great interview with Tim! He sounds so upbeat and positive, and I love that he also expresses a desire to keep truckin'. The stories about his father also interested me, and in my eyes, the title has gone from bizarre and ill-advised to touching and meaningful. It was so brave of Tim to write all of these songs by himself when he's so used to collaborating, so brave of him to "put himself out there" by make the songs very personal. It's really paid off, though. YOU GO, TIM.
Timothy has posted a new blog entry on his offical site
Very interesting!!
Once again - I LOVE getting these mini-communications from Tim. What a sweetie!!!
Vacation over already? Poor guy - he didn't even wait until after Thanksgiving!
I know----I think he needs a back rub or massage...http://bestsmileys.com/hugging/5.gif ---- ok, I couldn't find a smiley for those but I thought this one was cute! :hilarious:
How cool is this that a radio station is giving away tickets for one of Tim's shows.
